The girl at the door is Hamna, and she tells Khushbakht she is Abu Bakar's wife. Khushbakht does not shout. She treats Hamna as a guest, gives her a room and food, and then quietly searches her bag for a marriage contract that is not there.
In Karachi, Kishwar tells the family she overheard that Zamil takes drugs and drinks. Zaryab explodes in his defence and, in the heat of it, points out that her own father drinks too. Kishwar is left in tears, Habib promises to stop, and Zaryab tells her sister she is moving out of her grandmother's reach.
Then Zamil vanishes. He packs a bag, switches off his phone and leaves a message saying he needs a week away, that he keeps making mistakes and wants time before he makes a big one. CCTV shows a cab dropping him on the highway. The episode ends as Abu Bakar walks into his mother's house and sees the guest.
