Zaryab cannot believe her grandmother would picture her with anyone but Zamil, yet Kishwar keeps calling Abu Bakar "a diamond". Both families push for an engagement between Zaryab and Zamil, and Zamil's mother admits his grades fell suddenly after years of strong results. Zamil drifts through the episode, withdrawn and low.
In Hyderabad the girl calling Khushbakht's house goes further. She says she is in Karachi, recites the family's address and says she needs to talk about the biggest problem of her life. Abu Bakar says he has no idea who she is.
On a Friday visit to Kishwar's house, Abu Bakar and Zaryab cross paths for the first time when she asks him to move his car. Later, while he recites Surah Kahf downstairs, Zaryab asks him to move outside so her friends can practise their wedding dances. Kishwar is furious with her granddaughter, Abu Bakar apologises as if he were the one at fault, and Zaryab's mother Shamsa takes her side.
