It is the day of the nikah. Kishwar has gone as far as tying a rope to keep Zaryab from slipping out at night, and the two of them talk it through at dawn. Zaryab says she is no longer afraid of Zamil. Kishwar puts it simply: Abu Bakar is the right path, and Zamil is the one who leads people away from it.

Then Zamil phones Abu Bakar and comes to his office. He opens with how much he has changed and how much religion he has learned, and then gets to his point: as a Muslim, he says, it is his duty to stop Abu Bakar marrying a girl with Zaryab's past. Abu Bakar cuts him off. He has no interest in her past, and least of all from the man who shared it and now thinks himself a saint. He will not let Zamil harass Zaryab or anyone close to them, and he throws Zamil out of his office.

Zamil turns to Zaryab instead. He messages that he still loves her, that he will fix everything and would even marry her as a second wife. Zaryab gives him a deadline: her nikah is at 4:30, so if he divorces his wife and comes to her, she will leave Abu Bakar. Zamil asks for more time and warns her that he would rather die than lose her.

At Habib's house the family gets ready for a small, simple nikah with no ceremony and no gifts, and Shamsa can only think of how different Faryal's wedding was. Kishwar sets the dupatta on Zaryab's head and tells her she is glowing. In Hyderabad, Khushbakht tells Abu Bakar he looks handsome as a groom, and then notices a message on his phone.
