Recap

It is the weekend in Hyderabad. Over parathas and lassi, a stream of neighbours comes to the door for medicines and favours, and Abu Bakar barely gets to eat. Sakina embarrasses Zaryab by bringing her nephew to read the Sindhi text, and Zaryab denies ever asking.

Abu Bakar gives Zaryab a new phone and explains why he helps people: the neighbours supported him and his mother when they had nothing, and prayers, he says, are a kind of currency. Then Zaryab finds a Quran verse set on the phone and takes it as a taunt. The argument builds until she tells him she hates him from the core of her heart. He thanks her for the sentiment, reminds her this is his mother's house, and covers for her when Khushbakht walks in. The next morning he removes the verse and apologises.

Elsewhere, Zamil is short with Hamna on the phone and has reportedly gone back to America. When Hamna's father comes to see her, he is turned away at the gate: nobody may meet Zamil's wife. Khushbakht announces a trip to the family village, and Zaryab agrees to come.
